Health Screening FAQ
Health screening is important in helping you to understand your own health status. It helps to detect underlying conditions or diseases even if you do not show any signs and/or symptoms at an early stage.
It is therefore important to do health screening in Singapore for early detection of medical conditions so you can undergo treatment early.
A once-off health screening will only determine your health conditions at the time of screening. Attending an annual screening helps to detect conditions that may arise after the previous screening.
Go with Singapore Health Screening as knowing your condition early allows you to have better control of the condition which can result in a better outcome.
It is recommended for individuals aged 25 years and above to have an annual full body check up Singapore.
Individuals with family history of medical conditions are advised to start their health screening in Singapore at an earlier age.
It is common to undergo health screening routinely, eg: once a year. The frequency might be increased for individuals with chronic disease or other health issues.

After registration, your blood test will generally be taken first so that you can break your overnight fast. Complimentary breakfast will be served at our Centre for this purpose.
You will then go through the series of tests in your health screening package Singapore (e.g. electrocardiogram, chest x-ray, ultrasound etc).
At the end of your appointment, we will arrange with you your second appointment to attend a medical review with our physician. This will usually take place approximately 1 week from your first appointment.
In the second appointment, the physician will go through the results of your health checkup Singapore test and address any concerns which you may have, and outline future management, if necessary.
It is not advisable to do executive health screening if you are pregnant as your gynaecologist would have conducted the necessary prenatal screening for you.
During pregnancy:
- Urea and uric acid will decrease during the first trimester.
- By the 2nd trimester, the albumin, potassium, protein and sodium level will decrease while the creatinine level increases.
- Glucose and cholesterol level will also increase causing pregnant women to have a chance of gestational diabetes and in turn increases the risk of getting high blood pressure.
Hence, results will not be accurately presented. Adding on, ultrasound is a NO for pregnant women as it radiates ultrasound waves which are harmful and might cause birth defects in the baby.
In a normal setting, health screening in Singapore consists of measurement of biometrics such as your height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and body fats. Urine and stool samples are taken to test for traces of blood and infection.
